Dr. Stephanie Cham

Stephanie Cham, MD, MS

Principal Investigator

Dr. Stephanie Cham is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist and a National Institute of Health Women’s Reproductive Health Research scholar. She earned her B.S. at the UCSD and MD from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Columbia University and her gynecologic oncology fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She also then completed a M.S. in Clinical and Epidemiologic Research at UCSF.

She performs surgery and delivers systemic therapy, and her hope is through her research work she is able to improve the lives of her patients. Her research focus is primarily patient-centered outcomes, particularly in vulnerable populations, through innovative healthcare services outcomes research and the development of novel and scalable interventions including those leveraging new care delivery approaches and technology.

Dr. Cham’s current and prior work has been funded through numerous organizations including the National Institue of Health (NIH), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Society of Gynecologic Oncology/Foundation for Women’s Cancer (SGO/FWC), UCSF internal funding including the Helen Diller Family Cancer Center, Pepper Center, and RAP program, as well as generous support from the Berkman Family Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Her prior work has been presented at national conferences and published in journals including JAMA Oncology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, JAMA Network Open, and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, running/exercising, being outdoors, and loves finding a good cup of coffee.
